Hi guys,

I've been experiencing a problem here. When I'm wirely connected (RJ-45), the connection stops and I have to run the Windows 10 diagnosis for my Ethernet. At the end of it, the problem is fixed and it presents a result:

The default gateway is not available error

I've tried everything I was told to - but nothing helped.

Please, somebody!

Thanks a million!

    Thanks IronFly!

Yes, I have a bunch of them here... My notebook model was traded only in Brazil - Aspire V3-571-6654

Does it seem to have a solution for that - I got no reply from Microsoft because I was told that this problem happened because of the last Windows 10 update!

    Thanks pal

i would try to uninstall the network adapter from device manager, just right click it and choose to uninstall, then reboot and let windows re-install it.

check if you still have the gateway error.

Thanks for your attempt but I keep having this problem.

It bothers more when I'm teaching a class via Skype and the connection is interrupted. Instead of connecting WiFi automatically, I have to reboot the computer in order to get the wifi connection going...

I'm thinking about changing the computer for another brand...

I've tried Microsoft too and not even Acer can give me a solution.

    Thanks a lot pal.

when connecting via ethernet cable, please disable wifi adapter, having both active can create issues with DHCP IP server (router/modem).

download the latest driver available from Broadcomm:

    https://docs.broadcom.com/docs/12358335

and follow the instructions on this thread to update the drivers:
