First thing to try is making sure the wireless is enabled. You can do that by pressing the Fn key and the F3 key at the same time. It should indicate that wireless in enabled or disabled. Make sure it is set to enabled. If that doesn't work, you may have a configuration problem with your wireless network. If so, provide answers to the questions below.
Are you using any type of encryption or security?
What type of router and modem are you using?
Have you tried taking the computer to an unsecured location with public WiFi to test to make sure it is not a configuration issue?
