@Acer-Cory (or any Acer employee),
If I browse to the download section I only see the .225 driver listed. Does this have to do with the fact that I own a S3-391 instead of the S7 where the original post was about?
Or in short; which driver should I use? Currently installed is .217.
I would also like to know what might have caused the problem, out of personal interest.
Thanks in advance.

That is correct, the S3 is currently qualified for the .225 drivers. I'm not sure if we'll qualify the .234 drivers for the S3 unless there is an issue that it would resolve/improve. If you're having issues with the .217 drivers I would recommend updating to the .225.

I have tried uninstalling the existing driver, install the latest .234. And it still doesn't work, that is, it still cannot connect, unless I am sitting next to the wireless router.

@Acer-Cory: You asked for the stability using the .234 driver. Well, it has improved but the connection remains unstable.

When you say cannot connect, is that saying connected or will it not obtain an IP from your access point? If you're saying that you have to be physically within a couple of feet to obtain any kind of connection I would recommend working with your local Acer Service team to have that checked out. That may be bigger than a driver issue. I can assist you if you're in the US or Canada.

Can you provide me with a bit more context or examples? Is dropping completely, is it slowing down to where you can feel it while surfing/running speed tests? Do you have the same results on different access points?

The conection drops completely. I usually disable+enable the wireless with Fn-Q and then it reconnects.
Through my everyday job i connect to a handfull of access points and the problem seems to occur on the same access points.
One AP where the connection drops is my TRENDnet TEW-637AP at home. On this AP I have disabled dual-band, I'm in control of the channel utilized and made sure no other signals are interferring. Using inSSIDer I've verified no other AP's are running in the neighbourhood. The S7 is the only device having diffilculties on this AP. The other labtops, mobile phones, iPads and tablets works fine with this AP.

Does Acer intend to release new drivers for M5 win7 too? A have tested all possible drivers and the most stable is 10.0.0.221 for now. Connection drops rarely, approx. 5-15 times a day, but it's still really annoying.

@lummoxCZ The M5 is currently qualified for the 10.0.0.225 drivers. I am not aware of any additional drivers being qualified at this time for the M5.
