I've tried all the drivers as well as bios updates. Problem became worse with later drivers, tried a usb wireless adapter which was also an QUALCOM/ATHEROS adapter. Same problems with the usb adapter.
Only thing that has worked for me is to turn off the Power Saving options for the adapter.
Once i did this my connection became stable. Prior to this i would lose connection every 10 - 30 minutes.

Wi-fi drops even when on power (did everything as suggested in this thread).
So disappointed about Acer for not working on the solution...they don't even bother communicating to the 5% of their paying customers willing to share feedback on their "Acer Support Forum". Anybody tried to return it ?

Bonjorno Gerardo,
Many thanks for your reply. My knowledge of Italian being limited to gastronomy, I've trown yourin google translate :
The disconnect continues is due to a problem of switch below the resolution.
The problem is due to a problem of interference antennas or rather a problem of switching between the two, known as switch Diversity.
Diversity: is selected from time to time (with a short delay) the antenna between the present and currently provides the best signal (intensity / quality).
I assume that Acer has not been able to handle the "short range" that's why the disconnects are so frequent and equally short in taking up the connection. That's why removing an antenna, preferably the auxiliary (aux), the problem is solved because no one else does not switch between the two.

So, Mister Acer, owner of this Acer Forum, where are you ?
When are you finished exploring "beyond limits" so that you can reply on this ???
Are you handling this issue of today or should we, acer customers, also explore beyond ?
PS Where is "beyond limits" (I do not know that country, but is seems pretty warm since you're not returning any of our cries for help)

Hi all.
I am writing to tell you how to solve the problem of disconnection wifi.
To resolve this problem, I first have to say one thing:
The internal circuit wifi pc consists of two antennas.
These two antennas are another main and auxiliary.
These antennas are handled by an internal process known as Diversity.
When the computer makes the switch between the two antennas something goes wrong, then the PC is disconnected.
The fix is to disconnect the black cable connected and leave only the white wire.
By doing so there will be no switch between the two antennas, and therefore no disconnections.
I have unplugged for about a week and PC are no longer disconnected.
Sincerely
Gerardo
