I also experience the problems with wifi drops. I tried different driver versions and they all having these issues. What helped for me at this point is giving the laptop a fixed ip in the network settings. Maybe you guys can try that for now. Let's hope the new driver arrives soon. I also have the buzzing sound when the keyboard backlight is on, you can only hear it when it is almost completely sillent ... this sort of thing should not happen with a laptop of 1400 euros!!

Fixing the IP address is a good idea. I don't have the WifI problems with my router even with the original drivers. But when you see connected with limited connectivity that is usually via a DHCP dropout/failure, and a fixed IP may just help there.
As for the backlight. Acer incorporated an electroluminescent (El) backlit keyboard. This actually looks softer and more pretty than an LED one, but it does have the downside of buzzing. This is not really a fault, but a design decision because this type of backlighting always makes some noise. And you will find that unit to unit they vary a bit too, but I doubt any are truly silent (although some users may think so if their hearing is not as good).

Same wifi problems here. Seems like it is getting worse. Disconnect now every 10 minutes or so. Please HELP!

I tried the 221 drivers (uninstall old ones first). First it kicked me back to 075, then I had to update driver manually pointing to the 221 folder. Those didn't work. Constant dropout. Rolled back to 075 which was always pretty stable to begin with, really started having problems with initial update, i think to 217. This isn't great for the most expensive ultrabook out there. Love the computer otherwise, and I am glad Acer is aware and working on it. For now, the best drivers seem to be 075 for me

ACER.. Please Do Something... we don't want to return this ultrabook, but we have to if it can't stay connected to the internet.
Below is a list of all the things people have tried that didn't work; some things seemed to work initially but failed eventually.
After 11 days of trying to fix this issue, I think I have no choice but to return it today. I will have another look at Samsung Series 5 as a replacement.
Chris or Cory from Acer, feel free to send me a personal note.

@Cory
In light of your posting #119, which is now more than two weeks old, and the impressive, comprehensive list of attempted solutions we have just seen, I think some update on the status of the promised solution would be in order. I doubt that anyone expects a firm date, but a soft one, or at least some sketch of a progress report, is certainly in order. Acer now has about 20 pages of discussion of this issue, most of which has been polite, patient and constructive because overall the s7-391 is such an extraordinary and attractive machine. But it is also a very expensive machine that is failing in one of its fundamental functions, and something along the lines of what I am asking here would be more than appropriate.
So, could you please tell us where things stand?

.. just sent Cory a private note inquiring for an update.. Let's see if we can get ahold of him and see what he says..

Somebody tried the new .217.v3 ?

@afrojean
Yes.. 10.0.0.217.v3 doesn't resolve the issue.
