I find it difficult as a potential customer that Acer list multiple model #'s for every configuration without specifying the difference(s) and they appear on the same retail sites i.e. newegg for different prices. For example:
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/compare/NX.M42
or
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/compare/NX.M3E
or
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/compare/NX.M3E
seriously 3 identical products???
Any chance the newest one (I'm assuming the one with highest model #) has a either a different atheros card or at least the same one with a hardware revision?

That is rediculous. My only suspicion is that its the bundle that is different. The full bundle includes a bluetooth mouse, mini-HDMI->VGA dongle, USB->Ethernet dongle, and a leather-like carry case. I wonder if some of the versions do not include all of the bits?!

There is clearly a "magic" factor with this which is why Acer are having so much trouble solving it. I am still using 075. I have had the issue once ever, and it only lasted 3 minutes with the "limited connectivity" issue and then fixed itself without me doing anything.

I bought My laptop today Iam facing the same problem, I think I will return it

I rolled back .221 to 117v3. 117v3 is better than 117v1 which was awfull on my system.
At the moment the laptop is working well with my access point that is 2 meters away on a fixed channel (0 ping to AP drops even after a few hours). The moment I put 15 meters between it, or use a different access point, things still drop badly even though other Wifi devices work great.
So 117v3 doesn't appear to provide a final solution, but it is a step in the right direction.

I am hopefull that a solution comes out soon. I am also having problems authenticating on a wpa2-enterprise networrk. Apparantly there are all sorts of problems out there with Windows 8 and wpa2-enterprise. Acer, can you fix that for us too?

Sigh.... here we go again.
After running .221 for about 3-4 days straight (I don't turn off my laptop and it doesn't go into sleep mode), I am getting Limited connection again. It was a promising solution.... until today.
217v3 does not solve the problem either as this one also led to Limited connection -- perhaps even faster than 221

I have the similar issue about the wifi but it's much more terrible. I'm using s3-391 with the same wifi adaptor as yours.. terrible issue... disappointed
