I have the Acer M5 laptop and I have the same exact issues. I have all the recent drivers as far as I know. My laptop connects to the network/router fine but as soon as I put it into sleep mode or logoff and log back into windows it wont connect automatically to my network. If I click the connect button it connects and it works.
This is repeatable and extrmely annoying.
It looks like this post is old but I am hoping there is a fix out there.

I'm closing this thread as it has become a bit to broad. I've seen 7 different models (including M series and S series) discussed and there does not appear to be any continual discussion on a specific point or topic. The V5 is series that has several different models. If you're having issues with your wireless connectivity, here are some basic troubleshooting steps:
If you continue having trouble, search the community for issues for specific issues related to your model. If none exist please review our article on how to get quick and efficient help from the community and create a thread that details your issue.
