So I ran the same tests with a V5-552P-7480 and I'm seeing the same results. I've got someone running the same tests with some different software and I hope to get those results in the next couple of days, but between setting a high performance power management and controlling the AMD Vision application I was getting steady framerates. On this system, I was pulling 52FPS plugged in, and unplugged with battery set to maximum performance, it would drop to 25-30, dim the screen, brighten back up and then jump right back to 52FPS.
I might suggest contact your local Acer support team and look at a warranty repair if that's an option. If you do so, please send me your Serial Number and Case Number in a private message. I'd be interested in following that to see what the results are.
Also, again, videos, screenshots, walkthroughs on how to make the problem happen and I'll take a look at it.

One thing I noticed, I don't have AMD VISION CONTROL CENTER, I have AMD CATALYST CONTROL CENTER.
I went to the FAQ on AMD website and so this.
What is the difference between the AMD Catalyst Control Center and the AMD Vision Engine Control Center?
The AMD Catalyst Control Center works with systems consisting of an Intel CPU and AMD Graphics.
The AMD Vision Engine Control Centre is optimized for systems containing an AMD CPU and AMD Graphics.
The AMD Vision Control Center offers additional CPU monitoring options from within the Control Center. All graphics features available in the AMD Catalyst Control Center are also available in the AMD Vision Control Center.
Will this have anything to do with the problem?
I don't know how to get AMD Vision Engine Control Center.
Edit: I don't know...maybe has nothing to do with the problem.

I know that, what am saying is, as the FAQ says, catalyst control center is for intel based cpu's, while Vision Engine Control Center is for AMD cpu's.
I have catalyst control center, it doesn't says vision engine control center.

FIPOLINIO and Cory, can you both check the drivers version installed and report it here?
I suspect that some drivers hide Vision options.

Thank Ironfly, hopefully a fresh prospective and help get me back on track and get us some answers.
This machine is freshly reloaded. I did update the BIOS during my initial testing but the current driver version is 12.104.1.1000
Thanks,
Cory
