My acer aspire s7 keeps shutting down. It has done is 5 times while trying to register and logg this complaint!
The battery is full and this is happening all the time.

What kind of a screwdriver do I need for this? I went to fetch the one I have for glasses, but then when I looked closely I see I need a star of some sort.
Thanks!

See my previous message - you need a Torx T6, available as part of any Mac tool kit. Sometimes available at Radio Shack (though the set I got there only went down to T8, not as small as T6...)
Good luck - fixed my S7 392 right away.

Exactly the same problem for me, it only shut down while on battery power. Which is made me mad!!!!
Acer, please find the solution for that problem ASAP!!!!!

I found that all the screws were loose on the back of my S7-392. In fact, I've lost one!
But after tighting them all down, it's running on battery power with no shutdowns.
I take my laptop out of my bag every day set it on my desk and put back when I leave. If screws are getting loose and falling out because of that, then I think that's a pretty poor design by Acer. Especially when you spend over $1400 on a computer.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement screw for the one that fell out?
