Why does my laptop overheat to the extent that it is burning my hands/wrists? Sometimes cannot touch the keyboard

The keyboard will get  warm, but not hot.  Turn it over and check the air intake grill. It needs to be clear of dust and dirt. If it's plugged, it can't suck in air and the laptop will overheat and the keyboard will get very hot. Same for the exaust grill. Also, if youhave it sitting on your lap and the intake is covered it's going to get hot, especially if you have placed a towel or something under it.
