I have an unpleasant feedback for Acer and I think I should start a campaign on social media soon. In less than 6months of using my Acer (Aspire R15) laptop a crack suddenly appears on the screen without any form of impact and Acer is asking I pay $300 for something that is not my fault. I see no reason why I should be made to pay for the repair when I've not misused the device in any way.

    Hi

Sometimes people have household insurance that can cover these kind of things, or some other form of cover, extended warranty etc.

I do not see how you can prove there has been no impact to cause the damage.

If the casing is flimsy and the screen etc flexes when opened or closed this may be a contributory factor.

So if you are going to pursue this matter then some solid evidence would be a good starting point, and do research beforehand.

Otherwise use a monitor at home and a DELL or HP when travelling, the $300 will go towards another manufacturers laptop.
