Recovery Disks

I just purchased a set of recovery disks for a gateway NE56R41u.  The disks arrived today.  I follow the directions to boot from the System Disc first.  Then when it gets to the recovery screen, it tells me that it can only run from Legacy mode.  So I reboot, set it to Legacy mode, then try to boot from the System Disc again.  It sits there for a while, then it tells me "This recovery sustem can only be used on "UEFI" mode.  Please press "OK" to restart the system immediately.

I am tired of this back and forth loop.  What needs to be changed so that I can get this system reloaded.  Any input will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

P.S.  I really despise Acer/Gateway not having a phone number that I can call to get support for an item that I just purchased (the discs, not the laptop).

you need to completly wipe your HDD
    http://www.partitionwizard.com/partition-wizard-bootable-cd.html
    download the .iso file
then use a software to burn CD/DVD and burn the .iso file
once done, set legacy on bios, put the CD/DVD on your desktop, boot from CD
    at the desktop
    select your HDD
right click on your HDD icon and choose delete all patitions and click on yes and then apply
    http://www.partitionwizard.com/help/delete-all-partitions.html#howto

then exit and retry to boot from recovery media, remember to set UEFI   to boot from the recovery disks.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Yeah, I just figured that out.  I had already erased the hard drive, but then I decided to use the Disk Management in Windows to delete the partition.  Once I did that, everything worked in UEFI mode.  They really did a poor job of setting this system up.  This is the only recovery system I have seen that is complicated like this.
