Can anyone point me in the direction of a 3m DisplayPort cable that you know definately works with the X34?

I've bought two now, and one samsung branded cable the other a no-name brand and they both do not work with the x34.

Thanks.

The cable I bought was this one - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H3Q5E0

    Works like a charm

Yes, have had no issues.  I was playing Bioshock Infinite at 3440x1440 on ultra with audio playing on the displayport cable to the X34 with no issues.

I would just like to jump in on this and also put forward my opinion that the DP cable supplied with the monitor is extremely short indeed.  My X34 is on an Ergotron MX desk mount and it honestly struggles with the current cable length when I pull the monitor out fully extended on the mount in order to watch movies from my bed.  And this is with my PC being pretty much right next to the monitor!

It would be nice to have just an extra 1m length in that cable without having to make another additional purchase alongside a £950+ monitor. Smiley Happy

I just purchased an X34 and had difficulties with a 5m DP cable which I also purchased.

I took a chance on this cable because it says it only supports up to 2560x1600

    I have 2 GTX980ti's in SLI.

The cable works fine in 3440x1440 @60Hz but the x34 looses connection at about once per second at higher frequencies.

When I used the supplied DP cable - moving the X34 beside my PC, I was able to get 3440x1440 @ 100Hz without problems.

I want to install a 5m cable through ducting which may have significant electical noise.

Can anyone recommend a 5m DP cable that will do 3440x1440 @100Hz?

For reference: I purchased a 5m DP cable from: http://www.lindy.ie/cables-adapters-c1/audio-video-c107/5m-cromo-displayport-cable-p6849 This cable can drive the x34 monitor at 3440x1440 @100Hz. The cable is also installed through an electrically noisy conduit and I've seen no display nor audio problems.

Just wish ACER had charged me another £50 and give us a usable cable or even supplied links to where to buy supported longer cables.

None of us bought the X34 cause were on a budget. Just a pain in the ***** not being able to use a £850 monitor because ACER cheaped out on a cable.

I gave the Lindy cable a try and it only gave me 85Hz so it didnt work.

    Just found this - Its HBR3 32.4Gbps

If this dont work I'm guessing the monitor is faulty.

    Just an update guys.

I got it working at 100hz with the original cable that came with the monitor.

Only difference was i put the screen on eco power mod and it worked.
