Acer Predator G9-793 Macro Keys in Linux

Hello all, had a question regarding my laptop,

I got an Acer Predator laptop after my old one died, and I'm quite pleased with it so far. Only thing is, I run Linux as my main operating system, (Ubuntu 17 to be precise) and the macro keys don't work. Obviously, this is because Predator Sense does not run on Linux. I was wondering however if anyone might have any information regarding how I might get them to work though.

I'm aware of how steep a cliff I'm climbing here. I'm aware that I might have to write my own driver to do this, and although I've never done anything like this before, I am a fairly seasoned programmer. I'm willing to put in the footwork necessary to do this, but any information I can get about how this device interfaces with the computer would be helpful. Or better yet, if anyone knows of a program which can get them to work on Linux, that would be even better.

Thanks in advance!
