Hi,

I have seen that theres lots of people that after a couple of days their computer stops working anymore due to a BIOS error and i would like to avoid that issue , my current bios version is R02-A0 12/8/16 and i would like to update to R02-A2 but i'm having issues with the bat file. I go to the "WIN" folder and try to run the bat file. a CMD window opens for a very short time and disappears again. On the acer care center app that came with the desktop theres a tab "Update" and there is a BIOS update but i dont know if its safe to do it through there.

Any help would be appreciated

    try this:

copy the whole WIN and ROM folders to C:\

then press windos logo key and type

    command

right click command prompt and run it as administrator

    then type

    cd c:\win

    flash

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Did you end up having any problems after updating your BIOS?
