Hi
In the past hours i've had  trouble updating BIOS.
Current BIOS Version: American Megatrends inc. R01-A4 19/05/2016
Want to update to: R02.A2

What i'm having issues with is to run the bat file. I go to the "WIN" folder and try to run the bat file.  A CMD window opens for a very short time and disappears again.
I've tried:
Disabling Secure Boot
Running as Admin (I'm the only user and i am local admin)
Run as different user with Super Admin User

Still no luck so far, i've tried reading other forums about this issues, but have yet to find an answer.

    no, you can't update R01 to R02, different hardware revision.

    Hey

    Batch updating bios under Windows contains bugs. Follow these steps:
    - copy the R02-A2.CAP file from the ROM directory to the WIN directory
    - Edit the flash.bat file, it should look like below.

    @echo off
      Afuwinx64 R02-A2.cap / P / B / N / R
      @echo on

    - Before starting the bios update, be sure to disable the required bios option.
    - After updating the BIOS you must to restart your computer. The computer for the first time after the update will be started longer time. Everything is ok, do not turn off the computer then.

    Hi, I have the same problem here. After following your instructions, I still get this error  10 - Error: Unable to load driver. Any idea what to do next? Btw, is R01-A4 upgradable to R02-A2?

    HI,
    I have the same problem.
    I was able to update the bios from R02-A1 to R02-A2, but no more.
    Yet according to the serial number of my G3-710, Acer offers me a bios R02-A4. even a R02-B0.
    What do you think ?
