For my computer when I start it on, it creates 3 beeps with a 0-1 second pause with another 3 beeps then restarts.  It continues this process for about 3 - 5 times until it finally turns on and the computer runs without any problem.  Do you guys have any idea what the problem is?  I heard it might be a BIOS problem but Im not sure

    Hello,

    • One long beep and two short beeps then repeat:
VGA not installed or VGA error.
Graphics card error/not installed, graphics card memory error or graphics card BIOS checksum error.

    • One long beep then two short beeps:
      BIOS damaged.
BIOS is damaged, BIOS POST jumps to Boot Block to execute the default procedure.

According to your description, it should be a graphic board issue.

Okay Thanks I'll check it out.  But from what I'm hearing its three short consistent (same) beeps followed by the same 3 consistent short beeps.  Do you think it might be another problem or would you still consider it to be a graphics board problem?

Okay. As it is an AMI bios, you should have a look at this webpage:

    • Base 64K memory failure:
A memory failure has occurred in the first 64K of RAM.  The RAM IC is probably bad.
