Did a refresh and a factory reset but still taking 5 minutes to power up.  Once it does it seem to run ok.

What operating system are you running? 5 minutes seems really long for anything newer than Windows 7. If you are using Windows 8, you can try enabling fast startup. http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/33757

If that doesn't fix it, I would call technical support because there may be a hardware problem or something. That just seems like way too long for boot.
