acer Aspire one notebook - browser problem

My husband wanted to change the browser and has disabled something, we don't know what. Notebook connects fine to wifi but nothing happens when you click on the browser button. The thing is so basic that there doesn't seem to be anywhere to look to solve the problem.

Can anyone help?

Without knowing what you did, it would be very difficult to help you correct the issue.

Changing the browser can be as easy as downloading another browser, like Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Opera.

You can attempt to restore what you did by accessing the Restore points and restoring prior to when you made changes.

It is also possible to completely restore the system by using eRecovery and restoring the system to factory defaults.  Make sure any data you wish to keep is backed up, prior to using this option.

Thanks for your reply and I think the solution is to completely restore. We hadn't even got as far as using it so there's nothing to lose! If I can't get onto the net though, how do I restore? I presume with disc but there's not disc drive. Sorry if I'm being dumb.
