Hello.
In 2012 I purchased an Aspire One ZE7 notebook from Walmart along with their 2- year extended protection plan.
There have been multiple malfunction problems since it was purchased:
A service tech had me restore the notebook back to factory settings. It did not resolve the problems.
Tech support tells me to send the notebook in for repairs, but advises that a recovery disk be included.
I looked on the ACER website and do NOT find a Windows 7 STARTER recovery disk to purchase. Is
it not available? Numerous calls have been made to ACER to inquire about purchasing the needed
recovery disk. However, the phone just rings and there's no option to leave a voicemail message.
Walmart's Protection Plan company tells me the following:
"...You can ship the product into our repair facility without the recovery disks. However, if the motherboard or hard drive have to be replaced, all of the data will be erased. There will be a complementary form of Windows installed on your computer and will only be available for 30 days..."
Questions:
- Is there a Windows 7 STARTER recovery disk; if so what is the cost?
- If there is NOT a Windows 7 STARTER recovery disk and the motherboard or hard drive is replaced; what is the
cost of a Windows 7 recovery disk once the complementary Windows expires?
-What are the ACER weblinks to purchase Windows 7 recovery disk?
Thank you.

Hello shinlee,
In which country do you live?
Your netbook Aspire One ZE7 is Aspire One D270.
You need to contact the Acer customer service of your country and order the eRecovery media (eRecovery) for your netbook. You'll search using keywords in support tab "Recovery using CDs or DVDs".
You need the Serial Number or SNID to order it.
For example (global acer website):
