No WiFi when booting on USB-drive (legacy, not UEFI)

Need help! I have a Acer Aspire E5-511P with bios Insydeh20. On UEFI it does boot USB-drive, even with passwords set. It boots on USB-drive with legacy set, but now my Wifi doesn't work. On older laptops no issues with UEFI, I just had to set boot order. And Wifi works just fine. Any idea's?

So your saying the computer will boot from a USB drive in EUFI.

It will also boot from a USB in Legacy.

    Now your wifi doesn't work.

Doesn't work where? When you boot from a USB drive? When you boot into windows?

Also, what are you trying to run from USB?

No, I'm sorry, I meant to say USB doesn't boot from UEFI. With Legacy, USB-boot, running Linux, WiFi doesn't work. It has de SSID and password stored but no transmissions. On my older Acer it WiFi works fine. Thanks for looking into this!

you must disable secure boot to boot other OS like linux, under UEFI.

remember to format the USB pen to FAT32 and burn the .iso as GPT for UEFI, you can use Rufus to do it:

    I'm not an Acer employee.
