I think I might need a new battery but not sure.

I have an Acer Aspire AOA 150, ZG5, outside of warranty and the charge on the battery continues to decline.

It is now at 30% but the charger does not seem to be charging.

I am pretty sure the charger is ok since I metered it and it shows 5V+/-

Additionally, I have tried other charger with no luck.

Also, is the Acer supposed to work without the battery but plugged in to the AC ?

Mine doesn't turn on at all.

Help !! and thanks

I know that laptops vary in input but all my Acer netbooks of whatever model have required the charger to have an output of 19v ...are you certain that your charger is delivering the correct voltage ?

I believe your netbook ought to be able to work with just the charger directly input into the laptop without the battery in.

The font is a bit small, but did you say 19v ?

If yes, then I might have the wrong charger. Lol
