Hello! Just registered as a new member. I need help in restoring my Extensa 5620-6419 to factory

default setting.  F12 doesn't seemto do it.  appreciate any help

    Hi,

    With Vista OS, the unit were shipped with recovery Partition.
    1. Power On the unit
    2. Once the unit completes POST (ACER LOGO), Keep hitting Alt+F10, you should be able to boot to the recovery to reset the computer to factory

    Thanks for the reply.  I think I already tried that too, but I'll try it again (though not immediately; have other things to tend to).  Will let you know what happens.          Gene

    If you are able to boot to windows, You can Get to All programs> Acer> Acer Recovery Manager .. for the same

       Before I had success with Alt F10,  I couldn't find Acer eRecovery. Either my model doesn't have it or I deleted it some time ago.

       But again thanks for the help.  

       Actually, after getting past Alt F10, it was not completely straight forward.  I had to delete what was in the [    } and type in Acer eRecovery.
