It's work the same for me, and of course should be fixed... but it maybe not fix the cooling totally. ![]()

You now made me wonder to clean my laptop and apply thermalpaste as well... unfortunatelly I'm afread to disassebly, but according to you it must be done anyway. No fan controll tool will fix this...
I'm glad that it helped you out, that's why I made the effort...![]()
Now, I really don't know, if you have the same problems, but I think its fairly safe to assume that you have at least a lot of dust at the output of the fan if you never opend you laptop and cleaned it...
Well, at first, I was afraid too, because I had never done such a thing. Then I searched for youtube videos, how to dissassemlbe the 5750g; found one for a similar model and saw this comment
" For me it looked very difficult, I'm a 23 years old woman and I have no knowledge of laptops. I tried this for the first time and actually its not that difficult as it looks [...]. "
So, I'm a 19 year old male geek which is about to start studying mechanical engeneering at university... it would be incredible embarrassing for me if a 23 year old woman could fix her laptop and I couldn't...
So, if you don't have two left hands and a least minimal logical thinking capabilities (which I'm sure you do
), you should be able to pull it of...

Cadavre wrote:I am certain my problem is related to the FAN SPEED and has little to do with thermal paste or other physical problems. The sensors properly show how hot the GPU and CPU are. I can barely hear the fan and barely feel the airflow from the side of the computer while playing games. The BIOS should take care of this. Fan does go up while using CPU-intensive software, but not enough.
Edit:
To clarify, I have cleaned the laptop multiple times and checked that everything was properly assembled.
You're most likely right!
Well, after reading this whole thread, I wouldn't be surprised at all, if this machine had several possible issues which cause it to overheat, considering the apparently rather poor design and the obviously quite poor assembly quality... So each one of us could possibly have their own mixture of problems -,- (I also recall several people reporting that a thermal paste replacement and general (dust) cleanup worked, and a similar number of people reporting it didn't).

I'm glad there is possible official solution. Hope it works as we hope ![]()

I changed to thermal paste as LordvorEdocsil suggested. I also experienced the same as he described... the thermal paste is applied very very poorly with a lot air and the plastic papers was also there. I made pictures of it:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wyx98q2ymutqzsd/UMo6UkZ
I also opened the fan but after 1,5 year there was only very few dust in it. It can be a problem for others...
I removed the plastic and applied the paste well. The results are stunning! Before it at 100% gpu stress test I got 95 degree after 5 min. Now after 15 min it slow reached 83 and... after 31 min it was still at 83! At 100% gpu usage the degree not go over 83. Proofs in the pictures... It's a lot better results!
But anyway the fan speed still need to be fixed. As I said earlier it's need to scale with the degree and not with the cpu and has to be a lot more faster. It's probably not reach 50% at 100% cpu usage.

Did the CPU temp changed that much as GPU ?
em 01-18-2014 09:44 PM
I did not tested the cpu it wasn't critical for me. 100% cpu usages couldn't overheat for me, but gpu did under minutes... but I will test it. ![]()

In my experience, changing thermal paste works well for about a week.

Here is the result of my cpu stress test: not go over 85 degree as well.
Before: I scaled down my cpu maximum performance to 80% which also mean no turbo boost at all. And after minutes it reached 95 degree.

Since we're back on the topic of thermal paste, I'd like to ask those of you who've had some success with using it (Gaboros, Lordvor) - what kind of thermal paste did each of you use?
I changed the thermal paste with hardly any noticable difference, i bought the best quality thermal paste available at the computer store here nearby. I had to do a lot of cleaning also when i disassembled down to the motherboard as the old paste was all over. Unfortuantely I did not get the result I would have liked.
So as Stanley08 said... for some of us, there were negligible or temporary results.
