Computer and dvd/blu-ray question

Hello,

I am writing to ask several questions as I just got a new Acer ES1-511-C723 notebook computer.

On the right side of the notebook there is a cover over where a cd/dvd/blu-reay drive would sit.

My questions are in regards to adding a drive to the notebook computer.

First can the computer support an internal drive?

I see the slot but not sure if the power supply could handle a drive.

Also if it could support a drive could it handle a blu-ray drive or on cd/dvd?

If i can handle a drive is it simply plug and play meaning simply take the notebook drive cover off and slide a drive in?

Or do most people simply buy an external drive?

I don't know how ofter i would use the drive as even o my desktop its only once every few weeks give ot take.

Thats it for my questions.

Thanks in advance

Drauka

You can do it, but it would be a lot easier and cheaper to get a USB DVD drive.

    Hello Ace,

Thanks for the information I appreciate it.

I guess I'll go buy a external drive then and save the hassle.

    Thanks again.

    Have a great weekend.
