Hello

My specs for my Laptop (Acer Aspire v5-552G) says that the speed of my CPU is clocked at 3.5 GHz, how-ever all measurements I have taken, it wornt pass 2.9 GHz.

Any idea what this may be caused?

The CPU is an A6-5357M Dual Core (with Turbo Core technology)

The speed of the A6-5357M is 2.9 with a Turbo core of 3.5. The Turbo boost is automatic. Turbo Core is way more conservative than Turbo Boost. Intel's Turbo Boost just says: "okay, I'm going to jack your processor to it's maximum then (maybe) scale your processor back over time." AMD's Turbo Core on the other hand constantly fluctuates your processor giving you a moderate average boost.
