Bluetooth on Aspire M5-583P after 8.1 update

Upgraded to 8.1. Downloaded Intel Bluetooth Driver from Acer site using 8.1 64-bit driver version 3.1.1307.0362 - driver date 2013/10/11. After installation and restart there is no bluetooth icon in the taskbar and no apparent application or control panel to discover bluetooth devices. Device Manager indicates the driver version installed is 3.1.1307.360 with a driver date of 6/26/13. I don't know if Acer just made a typo or installs an old version. I tried a driver update from device manager and navigated to the driver folder downloaded from the Acer site. The 8.1 64-bit update folder, but driver manager replied already have latest version.
Component services shows Bluetooth Device Monitor, Bluetooth OBEX Service and Bluetooth Support Service are all running.

Are you sure you checked PC settings -> PC & devices -> Bluetooth?
