Hello Friends, I had an issue with my laptop. I was working fine but because of something which I counldn't really figure out, crashed my windows and it got stuck in the black screen with the pointer. I tried to repair using bootable win 8 pro usb. I repaired but at the end it kept appearing.. 'sorry your PC ran into a problem....' and then kept restarting. I then formatted the C: and then tried reinstalling clean windows 8 pro. And again the same problem, even after the clean windows installation. The PC keeps restarting again and again.. with the same message. My BIOS menu used to work yesterday but today not even the BIOS menu is responding after pressing F2. I got stuck in there. Any help from you is highly appreciated. Please help me.

Thanks! Now I feel like I'm bit of a pro too. I fixed the thing by myself and for now installed win 7 pro. Still on the plan to download win8 pro iso and fresh install it. thanks.

If you install Windows 8, Load the DRIVER of WLAN Atheros. Aspire v5-431 has wireless lan issue on windows 8. Dowload the wlan driver on acer website Cat Happy

@ anjansapkota: You have not described any method in these posts, but if you would please post that method it could be helpful.

@ EdmonNagora: You have a different issue.  Please post in a new topic with your issue as I have asked previously in this thread.  If you're not sure what to post, please refer to How to get quick and efficient help in the Community.

I know how you feel right now. But anyway let's start.

Did the installation ask you anything about the format of your HDD like MBR or GPT ??????? If not just ignore.

Let's suppose that your laptop is Laptop 'A' and the other laptop you will need to use is Laptop 'B

    Things you need:

    1) Laptop B

    2) a win 7 32 bit bootable DVD and a win 7 64 bit bootable DVD. (Use your bit) but you might need both

Take out the hard drive (HDD) of your laptop 'A' and set it up in B. Use the bootable disk in laptop B to access the HDD.

( You will lose each and every file of your HDD so be ready for that / or try to back up your HDD by taking it to some computer expert or  PC store.) First of all delete each and every partition of your HDD and create a partition. Now quit the installation and take the HDD back to Laptop A then set it up carefully.

Now insert the bootable disk of win 7 whichever bit you choose.. but actually I had win 8 64 bit but i could not install 64, i had to install 32 bit. I'm on a plan to fix it.

Yeah, and start your boot and start the installation and complete it.

    Then you are done.

This is how I fixed my problem.
