Mine (527G) came with the stylus but no armrest. In fact this is the first time I've heard of an armrest. What does it look like?

Hi,
It seems you guys, have opened the computer. Could you please tell me if its possible to upgrade the video card, and if it is, how can I do it?
Thanks

No, it's not an MXM graphics card, sorry. You either have a 571G or 572G with the 750M video card, or you have the 571 or 572 without it.

Thanks for the response. is there any way I can install one? I dont mind the performance, but I dont like the mushiness in chrome, photoshop and itunes.
Thanks,

No, you can't. Generally speaking, only MXM cards in laptops are upgradeable (or laptops with MXM slots). The R7 is what it is.

I have to say, after scrubbing the drive and performing a fresh install of Win 8.1 x64 this thing FLIES even with the original HDD. Nevertheless, I have ordered my Samsung 250GB SSD (with Read/Write specs of better than 500MB/s on both ends) and can hardly anticipate how much faster this thing will actually perform. I did the reinstall now because I wanted to determine whether I would keep this thing or return it for refund. The verdict? A definite keeper! The install went smoothly and all of the drivers installed in a snap. The OEM bloatware is gone (I did reinstall a few of the cool tools) and one issue found in device manager with the original configuration is no longer present. Cool.
One issue--and that's why I'm here for help--has anyone else noticed the automatic image flip functionality disappear after performing a clean install? I can use keyboard shortcuts to flip the image 180, but I would like it to auto flip when I reposition the screen for an audience. What have I missed?

I have a service named EZel Sensor Service running. I also see that "Acer Ezel Sensor" is listed as being installed in Programs and Features. Not sure that this is it, since I tried stopping the service and the screen still auto-flips.

Still no luck getting throught to support in a bid to locate the Ezel Software. Apparently, this is a question for level two support and they work banker hours (no weekends to be sure). I'm mostly posting back to report two findings:
1. The three-in-one Acer Converter Cable for the proprietary Converter Port does indeed allow for all three connections simultaneously. I'm currently wired to the network, am projecting to my classroom screen, and have my mouse dongle plugged in and it all works flawlessly. A real USB port saver!
2. The video on this particular machine is bothering me. I notice a hot spot near the webcam that does not cool down even when powered down and unplugged. Each morning I find my battery depleted, so I think this one is going back. The screen is also redrawing when I swipe back and forth, which shouldn't be happening.
My SSD arrives tomorrow, so I'll take this back to Best Buy, get a fresh machine on Friday and do the disassembly and install over the weekend. Despite a few glitches, I'm still sold on this form factor.
