Hi!

I have Aspire One 756-B847Xss notebook. It has now Windows 8.1 OS. My screen brightness got broken and I can't anymore ajust my screen brightness any way. This is bad problem when using battery. Screen is always at full light.

I was wonderin how it can broken just like that. Then I realized that I upgraded my integraded graphics card driver which is Intel HD Graphics 2000. This might be the problem? I would like to have up to date driver for graphics card to have best performance. So, I would not like to install old one.

Do you Acer people know what I could do?

Did it work before you upgraded to Windows 8.1?

Have you changed your power management settings to see if you have any options to adjust?

I would try loading the latest graphics driver for your system from Acer's website.

I have been busy... I didn't find answer for this problem. Finally I installed old driver via Windows. Everything works well now but driver is from year 2012. I tried install driver from Acer download or something and can't install. I will sent email to Acer if they could give some newer driver.
