Hi. I want to upgrade my HDD for SSD. Now need to determinate which sata I have. Intel web says for chipset HM65

has 2ports 6gb/s

crucial scan tool also detects sata 3 6gb/s

So is this 100% I have sata 3 in my laptop?

Ok. Thanks. Other thing will I be able to do clean copy of windows on ssd before putting inside laptop? i do not want to do clone, I want it to be fresh however I DO NOT HAVE OEMWINDOWS DISC. Thanks

thank. not realy what I want. I know about back ups. what I do mean is to create windows only disc without other programs.

The eRecovery will create a recovery DVD that will install a clean Windows with integrated Acer software and drivers.

If you want a clean install, so no Acer software, you need an original Windows 8 DVD.
