Hi

I upgraded my Aspire 5739G to Windows 8 Pro /w WMC

When i was on youtube i noticed something was wrong with my sound. The internal subwoofer aint working no more.

The front speakers work, but thats a razorsharp treble (sounds *****)

I updated to the latest Realtek drivers (R2.70), but still no bass. It was working great with the Windows 7

How to solve this problem?

(planning BIOS update, and going to try the soundrivers form Acer (2009)

Fixed my problem. It wasnt BOIS, Win8 or hardware isse. The audio drivers by acer fixed my issue.

Windows 8 works great with the 5739G

    Thanks

It would first be suggested that you return the system to Windows 7 to ensure that you do not have a hardware issue with the audio system.  If the audio works properly under Windows 7, there may be a compatibility issue with Windows 8.

All supported Windows 8 upgrade systems are listed here: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows-upgrade-offer

We do not show the Aspire 5739G on that list.

We have posted no updated drivers for Windows 8 on this system.
