Aspire 3810T - New battery installed but not charging

Hello Everybody

I have just bought a replacemente battery for my Aspire 3810T. The old one was dead.

After installing the new battery, the orange led is on and you receive the information that the battery is charging. However, the battery remains at a constant 0% charge.

How can I solve this? Should I perform some sort of a software update for the new battery to work?

Any tips/hints will be most welcome.

Hello brunoosorio,

If the new battery is not charging, it can be a problem with the computers charging system or the replacement battery is DOA. It sounds like the computer powers up with the adapter so that is not the problem. I would suggest trying another battery as sometimes they can be DOA and if that fails then repair would be the next step.
