I have just got a refurbished R7 and the active stylus from the acer store and they won't work together. I am just wondering if someone can confirm that my R7 definately has the N-Trig duosense digitizer and should be working with the pen stylus.
The sticker on the machine says R7-572-6423, the manufacture date is 10/26/2013.
I have this pen: http://store.acer.com/store/aceramer/en_US/pd/Them
The multitouch is all working brilliantly with my fingers, but there is no response from the pen.
I know there are a few different varients of the 572 model, but are there any that don't have the pen support? As far as I have read it is only the older 571 model that didn't support this?
I have noticed that in my device manager I see no devices relating to N-Trig or duosense. I also can't find acer drivers on their website but am pretty sure the drivers should be bundled with the OS preload. I have also done the acer factory restore already which installs windows 8.1 and have performed all the windows updates that were pending. Does anyone with the same model know if I should see a certain device in device manager?
Am I missing something else, something I need to enable or configure to activate the pen?
The only other thing I can think at this stage is that I have gotten a faulty pen. Hopefully I am going to get hold of another N-Trig pen off a friend who has a Sony Fit15 laptop (I understand they use the same stylus, just rebranded).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi...
The Aspire R7-572 LCD has a digitizer feature to allow you to use a compatible digitizer pen or stylus.
Touch input will still work when using the digitizer feature.

Thanks, that much I understand but the official stylus isn't working. A technician from N-Trig has told me both devices I have purchased should be compatible so there possibly is an issue with the Pen.
