but remember, if u already on 227 then its unlikely to find an update for you. best to factory reset to see the updates.
Still going strong with no limited connectivity ...15 days and counting ![]()

Is there a chance you could tell what live update it is, because i want to try download it on windows 7.

I was having the same wireless issue on my new V5-571P, dropping connection for no obvious reason, usually after about 10 mins. For me its been fixed since Tuesday (3 days so far), no dropouts at all. I went to Acers download area on their website intending to download the 217 and saw the 225 update from 18th March so downloaded that (took ages, 200mb+), installed and rebooted. Not had the issue since.

hello hi there,
having problem with your windows 8 wifi connectivity( especially Network Adapter).
i've found a new way of fixing it and its a simple way to do it.
the first thing is to know whether you had a upgrade to your computer, if yes then follow
this steps:
1. Go to DEVICE MANAGER (run it as administrator)
2. Go to NETWORK ADAPTER Section
3. Choose your maine wireless adapter, for example my one is call "Qualcomm Atheros AR5B125 Wireless Network Adapter".
4. Right-click on the wirless adapter and then a window will pop-up
5. Then Go to DRIVER AND then left clcik on ROLL BACK DRIVER
this will roll back to the previous driver that was working fine.
I hope this will help

Actually this forum is for ar5bwb222, and secondly this sollution may only work for you because the last drivers i used didnt work either. Does anyone solved it? I actually am getting a new wirelles usb network adapter because i cant see any other solution.

Hi,
I have bought Acer v5-571 as well and I have the same issue. Did you find a solution for your problem or does it still exist?
Thanks,
Shuchi

Thank you Sundoobie! These directions finally worked. I bought an Acer Aspire V-5 571p in February. After weeks of struggling with this problem, I found your post. I followed these steps and selected 10.0.0.0.225_W8x64_A.zip, which is the latest; I think the date was March 2013. I haven't had the problem since dowloading last night. I hope others see your post and try it. I wonder if Acer has a responsibility to notify their retail outlets? Staples had never heard of the problem but obviously a lot of people have been experiencing it.

Did the exact same thing as you and so far, no drops!! 217 was recommended but I chose 225.

Sad to report, but after a full week of no connection dropping after installing driver 225, problem popped up again. Blue tooth is enabled.....Windows informed me today it was installing an 'update' - April 13, 2013. That's when the problem came back. Reviewed the updates - nothing referenced the wi-fi or bluetooth. But something from Windows 8 obviously changed something. This is maddening!
