Re: Acer wifi limited connectivity issue

I have the same model. use a Hotspot modem. Was suggested that bluetooth & driver conflict, so have turned off bluetooth.

Also put on power save mode. Still not perfect but not dropping out  AS  much. It's wrong that we have to rely on each other,

when Acer seems to do nothing about fixing these problems. Even after scathing results from a recent Customer Service (LOL)

a couple of months ago.

but wait?

aspire e1-571g doesnt come with bluetooth as you can see

what should i do please? :smileysad:

yesterday i installed that recommended driver ''WLAN_Broadcom_6.30.59.20_W8x64''

and was working ok...this morning i turn on my laptop and same **bleep**,it takes me 10min to open this forum and write this message...man i hate this acer thing with wireless!!! if i dont resolve this problem this is my first and last acer!

would it help if i buy usb adapter for wireless? with that is whole another thing,it doesnt use wireless adapter that im having or?

now i UNclicked that box who said turn off adapter for energy saving...and restarted my laptop and now is working fine..

but that was also like yesterday, after i've installed new drivers, and i was happy that its working fine..and this morning,i almost broke my laptop -.-

so i will not say its working until few days passes, cuz sometimes its working fine so this is maybe just a random luck...

if this isnt working im gonna probably buy usb adapter for wireless and try use that, maybe it will work that way, hopefully :/

Problem was gone when i plug AC Adapter but still when i work from battery. Can't talk in Skype without AC Adapter. Latest driver 225 from official page. Shame on you ACER Inc.

P.S. Can't update BIOS to 2.x because have 1.x

Purchased V5 571Pg with windows 8.  Same problem, wireless network drops out when using bluetooth mouse or connection to ipad.  Reinstalled latest drivers, rechecked settings.  I employ some seriously tech staff, though I am not so talented.  They check laptop, make some calls within the industry.  Advised issue is hardware, Acer are aware of this as hardware issue.  You cannot permanently fix this without changing the hardware.  Phone Acer New Zealand, one hour on hold and answered in Australia.  Seek technical advice and sending in for fix, advised fix would need to be sent to Australia to replace part under warranty.  Transferred to the Phillipines to organise this.  All technicians in Phillipines are too busy to advise or discuss where to next.  They would phone me back, Land line and mobile given, they would not accept emailing me.  That was a week ago, no call from Acer.

Re: Acer wifi limited connectivity issue

Hello Guys,

I have Aspire E1-571G and its 2 months old now. I have encountered the same problem as everyone else Wi-fi 'Limited' issue.

I have gone thru each and every post of this thread and tried all possible solutions, I have the latest wi-fi drivers installed and 5 days back I updated the BIOS to ver 2.15 (latest available)

For me the wi-fi ain't working at all. every 5 mins the connection drops & I have to reboot to make it working again for another 5 mins :smileysad: I sometimes get the limited connectivity issue on ethernet connection too.

Please suggest if there are any possible & realistic work arounds for this issue. As I mentioned earlier I have tried all possible workarounds mentioned in this thread. Can I go back to WinXP x64? not sure if I can make things work under the most trusted OS WinXP :smileyhappy:

Ethernet: Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet (14.8.1.12)

Wireless: Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless (10.0.0.225)

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Re: Acer wifi limited connectivity issue

i had this problem on my new v5 571p laptop. what i did was updated the driver to the 225 one and still had the problem of limited wireless connectivity. I think my is solved by also turning my router settings to only use b & g settings and not the n for wireless seems to of solved it for me.

Re: Acer wifi limited connectivity issue

This has a been a battle for us here. I manage 25 computers at this location and the acer laptops are allway going to limited mode. They work for a while and then they go to limited. i have update bios, wireless drivers, and also started over by reinstalling windows and most solutions are temporary. I have had great results with acer on win 7, but on windows 8 it has been a struggle. the other laptops on windows 8, by other brands seem to be fine. there must be a conflict, but what is it?

Re: Acer wifi limited connectivity issue

[ Editado ]

I use an Acer Aspire model V3-571-6443 with Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter.

I owned this laptop computer for eight months now, and keep experiencing connectivity problems which can last a random amount of time, from 24 hours to several days, even weeks on end.

It seems that each time the connectivity goes down, at some point the laptop will prompt me to reboot the computer to install some Windows 8 Updates. When that is done, the connectivity problem is solved for a while, but occurs again at some later point in the future.

So it sounds very similar to what is going on for the other users here. Turning Blue Tooth on and off doesn't solve it. Installing new drivers doesn't solve it, though turning off Windows Updates entirely seems to solve the problem for a while. I am not comfortable with turning Windows Updates off permanently, however. There is some conflict going on somewhere, and I would appreciate with some Acer people would look into it and solve it, once and for all.

I've had these internet connectivity problems for 8 months now. Enough is enough. Thank you.
