Acer eRecovery

Hi, i'm facing a problem when trying to burn the factory image to a DVD- RW (verbatim) via Acer eRecovery.

The error message is : ACER Backup CD burning failed error=1014, this is the third time of try with no success :smileysad:

The laptop is a TravelMate 4060 with windows XP.

Try this. Disable your antivirus and then burn the cd.

Have your tried with different brand and with non-rewritable supports?

Yes I did I tried with Imation, Ricoh,Verbatim (CD and DVD RW), I think the problem is coming from the burner software associated with eRecovery (NTI old version) because when I want to blank a CD RW or DVD RW before burning it failed also.

download NTI upgrade patch, install and try to burn

Finally it was the solution, problem was coming from the initial NTI burner prog. After applying the patch, the burning process with eRecovery ended correctly. Many thanks for you help by sharing this information. Have a nice day.
