I had the same issue like yours after 2 months into research i have found out the motherboard i bought from ebay even thought it states it will work on a v3-571 laptop it didnt, well only for 30mins until power off. i went threw 3 motherboard to found out that the board i been buying doesnt not support the i3 CPU and at exactly 30min it will shut off. no matter what u tried it will still shut off at exactly 30min. The only things i done differntly now is i had tried a lower end cpu from an acer E1-531 model and it works for more than over 30min. Tested for days and no 30min shut off. The cpu that i was using is a Intel B960 2.2ghz. I Pretty sure this will sovle your problem. I also have tried bios swap from the old motherboard which has no power and notice both of the bios are diffent setup and did not work so i had to put back the original bios back.

What would this laptop be worth in its present condition?
It boots up, but only stays on for roughly 30 minutes.
I do not desire to continue with a repair and the owner has purchased a new laptop.
Thank you in advance for your opinions.

finnaly found problem in my acer ![]()
my motherboard have HM70 intel chipset which do not support I3, i5 and i7 CPU, only Pentium and Celeron.
in thiese acer notebooks are minimum 3 different mainboards.. if your notebook have original cpu from factor Pentium or Celeron- better to leave original CPU , or your PC will automatically powering off every 30 mins.
I had readed all russian forums, and problem the same as I said.
If you want to UPGRADE your acer CPU, check mainboard chipset model, and find answer in Intel website, where you can see supporting Chipset cpu's.
and about other problems.
1. If you bougt a stolen notebook, you also will have problems if ATM is ON, you can download and check: http://www.4shared.com/rar/ClUuZA0X/Fitc_5.html of corse you will have biiiiig problems..... to solve it..
2. check your Intel Managmen Engine have latest drivers.
good luck!
