Dear friends, Acer: Full model: E1-522-65208G1TMnkk
I just bought this 'fully' loaded notebook with 8 GB RAM, 1 TB Disk and an AMD 6 in Switzerland. However, using it is no pleasure as it just blows air from and makes CONSTANT fan noise. The device, bottom does not get hot though.
What do I do - Bios update? Windows 8.1 ? Appreciate Acer support giving me a call, can reach on my email.
Thanks much, varash

Hello,
I suggest you to contact your Acer support (under warranty).

If your laptop is not hot and the fan is constantly spinning , your unit is functioning normally under a reasonable working environment provided the space your operating your unit in is not subjected to humidity and other factors that may cause a computer to overwork itself. You will want to be concerned if your laptop does get very hot and your AC Adapter gets so hot to the touch that it may melt or burn your hand.
Depending on your graphics card thats embedded in your system, it may have a system that decreases and increases processing power depending on what your doing.
Also, in the Windows 8 Desktop mode, if you right click a blank spot on the taskbar and select Task Manager you can also see if your usage is at 100% constantly . If it is. you have an app or program thats misbehaving badly and needs to either be killed via task manager or removed via Programs and Features.

Thanks much Jason.
I dont see any unusal app behavior and not 'hot' symptoms.
However, I observed the fan blowing noise comes up once - most of the time!
How can I make the Graphics card config. AMD Radeon HD 8400 with 512 MB
Also, do you sugges BIOS upgrade. Is there a self serive tool for this action please.
Cheers, Shashi

If you were to update your BIOS, you would need to go to the support site in your locale and enter your system model in the driver section of the support site in order to get these BIOS updates.
