Well my Acer Aspire 7551 (MS2310) has stopped working correctly, hopefully someone her can solve my problem. First a little history, a few weeks ago the laptop powered off as normal and when turned on again it did not have any display but did show signs of life. The two power lights come on blue as normal, the fan spins and the DVD drive goes but there is no POST.
Now I have tried removing and switching the RAM and HDD to no avail. Also tried leaving the battery out for hours for it to completely discharge and the first time I did this the laptop worked again but only for a couple of starts and it has gone back to the previous black screen state and nothing helped.
My question is this, I saw a while ago that there is a key combination which allows you to do a BIOS upgrade using a USB pendrive so does anybody know what the sequence is and how to go about doing the BIOS upgrade this way?
Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can use this laptop again.

No, that does not work for every system. Please, do not attempt to update the BIOS for an obvious VIDEO issue.
We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.
