Acer Aspire 5610 will only connect to local network

Hello, 

I recently changed my wireless router and now my laptop will not connect to the internet.  I have set it up as I should but it still will not connect.  I need help as I use the laptop all the time and need wireless internet.

    I would suggest going into your wireless settings and deleting any info related to your old connection.

    I currently just ran into this problem. I found my router is WPA/WPA2 security (highest) and this laptop AS 5610 Z, only works on WEP security (lowest). If you get a wireless USB adapter, you should be able to connect to your WiFi using the WPA/WPA2 security setting. This is my solution and is working so far. I bought a Netgear N150 wireless USB adapter and all is well untill I can get a new laptop. Hope this helps some.
