Acer Aspire 4330 Keyboard not working

My kids have an Aspire 4330. A couple keys were broken and some chocolate had been spilled underneath where the cpu fan resides. (it was still functioning ok) I took it apart and cleaned it, put it back together and the keyboard would not work. Everything else worked fine. I ordered new keyboard and installed it, still would not work. Figured I damaged the clips on the board that held the keyboard down, so I ordered a new motherboard. Installed it, it came on but still no keyboard. I rechecked all my connections and even went so far as to order another new keyboard. That keyboard would not work as well. I am sitting here looking at it wondering why everything works on it but the keyboard. If i plug in a usb keyboard, it works just fine.

What gives?

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to know what the problem is exactly.

I would suspect that something has happened to either the keyboard, keyboard cable, or it is not being installed correctly.

We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.
