After I just came from work and went to power my ACER 5742G, nothing happened, everything remained how it is. When I plug my cord into the laptop, no battery lights come on. I'm not sure if it was charging last night. Some tests I tried to do it remove the cord and the batterly and hold the power button for about 40 seconds, switch ram slots and use one ram, unplug the HDD and CD/DVD reader/burner. But still, nothing happened. Not sure what to do now, since now my warranty is over and dont wish to spend about 20$ just for inspection from my nearest local store if it is just a minor problem. Can you please reply with a comprehensive list of testing for i will be abroad soon and when I come back I would like to have a list which can I try.
