    laptop model?

if your laptop has UEFI, be sure that your linux is x64 version and UEFI compatible.

you can also try to enable F12 menu on BIOS:

    press F2 at boot

look for F12 boot menu and enabled it

press F10 to save and exit

at next boot press F12 and choose the DVD as bootable device

    I'm not an Acer employee.

What is the model of your laptop so we can move this thread to the appropriate board?
