I don't know if this is the right forum however, my aspire 4739 touch screen does not work after upgrade to Win 10.

I cannot find touch screen drivers for the machine for Win 7 or 8

Can someone give me a direction?

Thanks

check for the drivers update in manager

do you see the peripheral on the manager?

No, there is no reference to that

if there s no reference to the touchscreen in manager, you can try to autodetect hardware change first because if the computer doesnt see it it cant make it work!

    proceed a shutdown of computer

remove plug and batterie for 2 minutes

    replug and place batterie

    start the computer

    try a autodetect hardware change

and if you see the peripheral then update drivers

wich version of windows do you run?

In device mgr I see a Legacy device under System Devices. Location is on LPC Controller but there is no driver installed.

I tried the search for new hardware with no results

I have inserted a screen shot of the device manager items for HID and Monitor

i think that is your monitor drivers who need to be updated because it detect a standard monitor

if i was at your place, that s what i try first

I see a VGA driver for Win 7 x64 but nothing under the Win 8 OS selection. There are no Win 10 drivers at all

you should try to get appropriate drivers for your computer at :http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/acer/laptops-desktops/aspire-4739/3442

Checked drivescape and installed the Intel Graphics Driver but it doesn't refer to touch screen properties. I don't see anything listed for Win 8 or 7 either.

Touch screen worked fine B4 10

    well, hummm...

dont really know what to do except these hints

1 - ask to acer factory tech at support for acer users

2 - try to find updates for windows 10 and others products at windows update

3 - downgrade your pc to original state because of incompatible material !

PS if you absolutely want windows 10, maybe you ll be in obligation to buy a new computer with Windows 10 on it by default.
