After a hard drive failure I needed to reinstall the OS and Drivers. I made a set of disks but they don't work. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I decided to upgrade to XP Pro because I had a legal disk (It had Home on it). I was able to download all the drivers and it's working fine. After my grandson dropped it the HD was fried so I couldn't use the recovery on it and none of the recovery disks would work.

My biggest problem was that I had installed Linux on it and it was a little tricky to get XP back on. I had to pull the drive and format it on another computer (Win 7). The computer couldn't "see" the drive at first because of the Linux system, but I was able to re-pertition it in services, then reformat it with the XP install disk.

    Thanks anyway,

    Richard

It has always been a good computer. I bought it when I was going to school for an IT degree. I am glad it is still of use. I hate to see a woring computer tossed just because it's old!
