Find the Acer Best for You

Hello Acer Community!

My teen needs a laptop for school and I am no sure which one to get.

I am thinking a Netbook is the way to go as it needs to be light, portable and easy to take out and start working. He already has his Raspberry Pi for play, so no need for any fancy bells and whistles. Basically for document processing and web surfing. Needs to have WiFi to connect to school network and have a ample processor/RAM to open docs/programs and keep up with class. Needs long battery life so he can keep it on/in sleep from class to class. With regards to hard drive, ample for Open Office, WaterFox, documents, photos and projects.

I am also reading a lot on iPad vs Netbook for school, so any opinion on this would be appreciated as well.

p.s. I bought my Aspire 5570 maybe six years ago (?)... I am still using and loving it!!

For a teen in school, I would not look any further than a netbook. Tablets can work, but have an onscreen keyboard and is more difficult to type with. Look at the comptuers on http://store.acer.com and see what they have that fit your needs.
