Hello,

I bought Aspire F15 series F5-573G-72HS pre installed with Windows 10 64 bit.

I want to downgrade to Windows 7 64 bit ultimate as many applications which I use do not work in Windows 10 and besides Windows 10 is pathetic. Too slow with 12 gb ram and 4 gb Vram

Can anyone please provide with steps for installation. Also what changes required in bios for installing windows 7.

Thanks a lot.

Shahid

you need to switch BIOS from UEFI to Legacy and then install windows 7 as always.

just press F2 at boot, look under BOOT tab (normally UEFI/Legacy settings are under this tab), switch to Legacy, press F10 to save and exit

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

I could not find drivers for Win7 64bit. I have Ultimate with SP1.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I am unable to change it to legacy mode from Boot menu in BIOS. Its in Standard mode but grayed out.

Also it shows, Supervisor password clear and system password clear.

I then made a uefi compatible win7 usb. On booting from it, i get message "Security Boot Fails".

Plz let me know what to do.

also check if Legacy is available after setting Supervisor password

    Hello Iron Fly

Thanks for the reply. I disabled secure boot and changed the mode to legacy.

Now when I booted Win7 from DVD, I reached to the point where I get options to create partitons. I am getting message that "Windows cannot install on this partition"

I then created bootable usb with uefi support and changed the boot mode to UEFI in bios, now the laptop wont boot from usb. I selected F12 for boot menu and selected my usb but it says no bootable drive found.

    Now what should I do?

    Plz help.

have you deleted all the partition before starting the installation?

this happens because the SSD/HDD has GPT partition instead of MBR

install using legacy and then press Shift+F10 at language/keyboard screen options, to enter Command prompt.
    once in command prompt type
    diskpart
    then on diskpart type
    list disk
take note of the correct disk ID to erase
    type
    select disk x
(x is the ID of your HDD to erase)
    type
    clean all
    type exit

it will take some hours to end the clean all command

    then proceed to windows installation

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

I was finally able to install Win7 ulitmate 64 bit.

Unfortunately the drivers mentioned did not work. Even the usbs are not working.

Only driver which worked was ethernet. Sound driver installed by itself with windows.

    I need drivers for following:

    Wifi

Intel HD620 - i downloaded this but it says not for this os.

Gefore - Downloaded this but not installing as HD620 not installed

    Device Manager shows following missing:

    -3d Video Controller

    -Network Controller

-PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller (mentioned twice in device manager)

    -PCI Device

    -PCI Simple Communications Controller

    -SM Bus Controller

    -Unknown Device

And one more application required. Acer Application which shows icon on pressing caps lock, brightness, sound etc.

    Pls help
