Found the problem. Cleaned a lot of programs off the new laptop. One of the Acer programs is Quick Access. Reinstalled it and now have full functionality.

You probaly need to restet the wireless adapter.
    1. go into device manager
    2. find your wireless adapter
    3. right click on the device and press disable

    To turn it back on
    4. re-enable the device.

Thank you for the response. Tried it and unfortunately, it had no effect. I uninstalled some of the programs that came on the laptop that I did research on and felt were unnecessary (Intel and Acer). Maybe I uninstalled something that I shouldn't have. Trying to find a solution. Trying real hard to like Windows 10. Seriously considering installing Windows 7.

  • When you got here, right clicked on your wifi adapter, and chose disable, it didn't work?

What did you remove from Intel?

Try Start 10 free trial. It gives you a Win 7 style menu better than Win 7's. Makes a big difference.
