E5-573G Miracast issues

I had been using an Actiontek ScreenBeamPro to project my laptop image to a large screen TV for visibility and accessibility reasons. In an attempt to locate an available music player on my newer laptop here, I clicked on an Acer executable file for what I thought was a music launcher in the back office, and immediately got booted off the TV. Have uninstalled and rebooted all software and hardware connected to the Actiontek kit on numerous occasions and even did a system restore. Everything seems to go but device will not recognize, only the USB transmitter properly residing in 2.0 port. The hardware connected to the TV shows ready to go also. But my laptop simply will not recognize nor generate a recognition of the device. I don't know how to undo it. And according to Actiontek, they are at their wits end also.

What is the executable you clicked called?

Not having anticipated creation of any problem, the most accurate recollection I believe to be correct in answering your question would be LMlauncher.exe under Acer folder program files folder under primary drive. A black MSDS style function screen briefly came up and exited as if to have changed a fundamental directive. Best I've got as self trained. Thank you for getting back.

Go to System Restore and go back to a restore point before you clicked the file.

Did that. The problem is I took a guess and did a restore at the earliest available point which was actually the day after the episode as it turns out. There was no restore point available beforehand. There definitely isn't now. Any other suggestions?

Other than a Factory Recovery, Undo, uninstall everything you did to set it up, reboot and set it back up.

    Another option,

    Restore to Default

To restore the Receiver’s default factory settings:

    1. A er the Receiver is powered on, wait until the “Ready to Connect” screen is displayed on the HDTV.

    2. Hold down the Receiver’s “Reset” button.

    3. When the “Restore to Default” screen appears on the HDTV, release the “Reset” button. When the Receiver reboots, it will be running with its default settings.

I was also thinking maybe something is messed up with the pin number you had to put in.

    1. took your advice and did a hard reset to default on Actiontek TV device. Reset the USB transmitter. Restarted the computer. Hard reboot on router for Wi-Fi. Uninstalled and reinstalled software desk for all again. Restarted the computer. Still no device recognized upon search. USB transmitter flushing Bluetooth properly. Computer Bluetooth setting turned off. TV screen shows ready to connect.????????

Review the setup here to make sure you are not missing something,

Run Malwarebytes to make sure you didn't get a malware with the launcher install.

    • downloaded Intel driver update 2.4. Read through and confirm hardware setup process appropriate. Launched utility driver scan but unable to install Intel driver as not proprietary to my laptop. Downloaded and ran Malwarebytes program. How do I know which of the multitude of drivers from the Acer website is the one I would need to update as I think doing all of them we create serious conflicts and harm!

Go to Devive Manager. Do you have any yellow marks by any of the drivers?

Go to network adapters, double click your wifi and  click driver. What is the version nd date. Does your Wifi seem any different than from before?

no yellow checkmarks anywhere. All Wi-Fi devices including screen beam show turned on, but no matter what I do including router reboot, I cannot enable network adapters for Wi-Fi 1 or Wi-Fi 2 (Wi-Fi 2 is screen beam). Ethernet currently providing high-speed Internet. If I disable it, I have no connection. I don't see how it can be that they are turned on yet network adapters will not allow them to see network devices/projector. Any other resolve?

Well… Go figure. I upgrade to Windows 10 after eliminating all potentially negative variables that could create additional stress, and voilà, problem solved! Never touched anything. Wi-Fi still is it is with only ethernet showing connection. All my PC files of music are back and shared through media player 11 after re-enabling. Screen beam is back also with clear duplication as before and showing devices all connected and happy. Sometimes it's like this for me as fluke plays a role in those of us cyber incapacitated. Thank you so much for all your suggestions and everything you did including the time you spent. If there's some way I can pay it back… Thomas J
